Born and raised in High Point, NC, I moved to Myrtle Beach in 1990. Never looked back. With the exception of maybe Florida, or even better, the Turks and Caicos Islands, I can't imagine living anywhere else.

I worked for a PAWN SHOP here for 15 years...that's pretty amazing. During that time, I was reunited with a childhood obsession, Davy Jones of the Monkees. I met him in 1999 in Greensboro at an autograph signing, and was hopelessly addicted from then on.

At that same time, I found the internet for the first time. I was so smitten, I wanted to make a "Worship Site" for Davy, and fate took over from there. I was poor as a church mouse, but someone walked in the pawn shop to sell a Web Tv. I ended up with it, got on the internet, and wanted my first handle to be LoveDavy. It was taken! Found out a girl by the name of Denise in Nebraska had it (actually lovedavy@webtv.net) and emailed her to ask what "DAVY" she was in love with. Her reply..."Is there more than one?"

We became friends, and she had found Tripod, where you could get a free website, with an editor that a 5 year old could use. She taught me, and The David Jones Worship Site was soon born. Being obsessive-compulsive, I spent MONTHS with no sleep, working on that website, and learning how to do more and more. Pretty soon for the fun of it I did a website for Dick's Pawn Shop. I started traveling everywhere Davy had a concert on the east coast, met my god many times, and found I loved him all the more.

Eventually we got into Ebay at the shop, and since I had spent several years on the internet, they wanted me to get it started. I did, they soon were selling a million a year on Ebay, and I started reading about search engines. Another challenge, another obsession would overtake me.

A friend worked for a local condo company and mentioned me to him, and I was hired at the most ridiculously low price you can imagine...like $300 a month. I thought I was in heaven! That paid my mortgage!

With the exception of one local web design company that hates me for taking over the search engines, I started meeting more and more realtors, businesses, and making friends thereof. In 2005, I was smacked in the face by a Davy CLONE...or almost, anyway...haha. ? David O'Connell is a close runner-up...kinda like Clark Kent to Superman...:-)

Anyway, I spent 3 years working for him, helping him to market Myrtle Beach Condos and doing what I love more than anything. Eventually times got tough for Realtors everywhere and I had to strike out on my own working for others. That's where I am now...with my own company, Myrtle Beach Web Design.

How's that for a story of fate????

My love and appreciation for Davy Jones for changing my life will never end. Although I would have even more loved to have worked for him, hey...I would never have made this kind of money. But if he ever needs anything that I can help with, he's got it. Hear that, David Thomas Jones???

I like to say, he sure made a Daydream Believer out of me...:-)
