After a marathon on Saturday on TVLand, they have announced the first two seasons of Daniel Boone starring Fess Parker are coming out on DVD.

You can preorder it through Amazon for $34. According to one of the websites, it ran from 64 to 70 and there were 49 episodes. I adored this show when I was a kid, and had the worst crush on Fess Parker. He was my "Davy Jones" even before Davy Jones...:-)

He has a winery and hotel in California now and still looks incredibly handsome even in his 80's....

Hey, Hey, We're the Monkees EBay chief executive Meg Whitman debuted many new features and policies for eBay's marketplace in her keynote speech Tuesday night, but it was the surprise concert by singer Davy Jones of the Monkees that got the crowd roaring on its feet.

Davy Jones provided Tuesday night's entertainment. (Leslie Walker-The Washington Post) A Monkees song provides the backdrop for one of eBay's "It" TV commercials, and the 1960s-era rock band reflects the Baby Boomer demographic that makes up much of the mom-and-pop seller base that helped make eBay a world leader in electronic commerce. Thousands of eBay dealers screamed when Jones ran on stage, and many rushed to the front of the vast arena to get their pictures taken standing in front of the Monkees star. Good to know there are some outspoken people with ANTI BUSH BLOGS out there.

This one has some cheerful pictures, and even calls itself "The smirking chimp". So I'm not the only one that sees that constant smirk. I always thought of him as a banty rooster, though. Oh well. Two more years, and if he doesn't destroy our economy (or the whole country) by then, we can have a democrat in there to straighten out the mess...:-)

I have a very talented friend and fellow Davy fan, also fellow JAN name...Jan Beaudrie. She has found her calling with a video camera and recently scored a cool job with her local Public Tv in her hometown. Anyway, she goes to many Davy Jones concerts and was playing around with some of her videos, which made ME play around and find out how to put the things on the internet...thus, here I am. Thanks to a nice website found at www.maxwell.syr.edu/ict/knowledgebase etc, etc. I swear, you can Google and find the answers to the universe...:-) To bad you can't Google a clone for several Davys I know..:-) DOUBLE CLICK on the play button to play.

Winter, Condos, and William Shatner

The second week in January and we're having weather in the 70's like it was April. Global warming must not be so bad after all! Real estate and condos in Myrtle Beach are still riding the waves, even though the doom sayers and some of the agencies seem to be slowing down. I've seen very little slow-down in the sales of preconstruction at all. Course, New Resorts has all the business, and is now letting some of the other agents sell their stuff too, so the other preconstruction specialists are not getting much business. Could be the web designer's unique marketing abilities, perhaps...:-) I just found this in Yahoo's videos, and being that William Shatner is one of my heroes, I MUST post a link here. This is too good!

Everyone is stuck in their house today watching the rain fall down. Not particularly hard, just raining. Some wind, I guess. Trouble is, the whole town is closed down because everyone thought we were going to have a hurricane. Prince David at Myrtle Beach Condo Store has so much inventory right now it's mind boggling. By the time they build all the new Myrtle Beach condos that are coming up, nobody will be able to recognize it. One of the biggest hotels is the Coral Beach Resort. With 10 hotels, a fantastic lazy river, and its own bowling alley, this one is a keeper. If I had the money I would buy one of these in a minute. A friend and I stayed there about 15 years ago. We were in the lazy river about 1am and the entire Myrtle Beach police dept showed up to get us out. I guess they thought we were dangerous women...:-)

The summer's almost over again...traffic is slowing. Website traffic is slowing too, which is depressing. I'm kind of looking forward to the cool weather, though. People can talk about Florida's great weather, but I think I like the change of the seasons just a little bit. Although my friend Annette, a realtor in Sarasota went on and on last winter about freezing in 50 degrees, it's kind of nice to get cold enough to kill fleas and other nasty creatures just a little bit. Working for The Prince of Myrtle Beach...(See previous post) and enjoying it immensely. I never would have thought this little secretary from High Point, NC would be hob-knobbing with real estate moguls in Myrtle Beach at my tender age. It's very thrilling and such a learning experience. He and his partner Doug Clayton are truly the ones to learn from, too. I'm hoping to eventually be able to buy a nice condo in Myrtle Beach on SOME KIND of water, have a boat, and a MAID...haha. We went to the Turks and Caicos Islands about 3 weeks ago...several of the agents and wives for New Resorts and myself and a friend...as well as David's friend Lane, who is developing the island of Grand Turk. I have truly NEVER seen such a paradise. You cannot believe what neon aqua ocean water looks like. It's just like somebody poured chlorinated pool water in it. You can see your feet in 5 feet. There's not much to do. The islands have not been built up yet..such a small place. But it's a place that everyone ought to see, and for sure a fabulous place for a honeymoon.

Haven't written in too long. I have this other blog, the Real Estate Web Blog that keeps me busy, not to mention so many websites.

I've been so lucky to have run into a local "Davy" or perhaps more like Michael Landon. His name is David O'Connell, and I hope to maybe soon work for him exclusively. He is a developer and marketer of preconstruction and Myrtle Beach condos for sale. Seriously, he's about the nicest guy I've ever had the pleasure to know. (and so CUTE!) So I'm excited about the future. Stay tuned...

I'm also finding success in my little restaurant directory, which is now more of a directory for Myrtle Beach Rentals, too. I'm using it to promote rental condos with some of the big rental companies like Condo World and Hotels.com. It's showing well in the search engines and making some money from ads. The web design site is doing good now for Myrtle Beach real estate terms, too. I'm redesigning that to do more to showcase David's website. We are going to make him the "Prince of Myrtle Beach"...haha.
